Report: Bellerin inks £30M Arsenal deal amid Barcelona link

Barcelona can end its pursuit of Hector Bellerin.

The explosive 21-year-old right-back has agreed to a six-year contract worth £30 million, according to The Mirror's John Cross, putting a significant hurdle in front of any club trying to tempt him from Arsenal.

The alleged agreement follows Bellerin's agent Albert Botines' assertions on Monday that his client was set to put pen to paper on a deal to take him beyond the previous agreement of 2019. It should ward off the reported interest from Barcelona, where he spent time in La Masia academy, and also silence the whispers surrounding attention from Manchester City.

Any suggested urge from Bellerin to join either of these clubs has been quashed with Cross' belief that it took just four days to shake hands on fresh terms. Now the attention at Arsenal turns to trying to extend the stays of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in north London.

Both are approaching the final one-and-a-half years of their respective contracts, with Ozil apparently demanding wages of nearly £200,000-a-week for five years to remain with the club. Sanchez's stipulation in inking terms is believed to revolve around having a buy-out clause written into the paperwork.

The latest on the future of Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's veteran manager whose own agreement expires at the end of the current campaign, is that he could be offered a two-year extension.
