Here are theScore's first baseman/DH rankings for Friday, September 16 (all stats exclude Thursday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Joey Votto (CIN) vs. PIT 10
Josh Bell (PIT) at CIN 9
David Ortiz (BOS) vs. NYY 9

Votto takes on Ryan Vogelsong (4.67 ERA), who comes from Pittsburgh's extreme pitcher's park to one of the best hitter's parks. Since 2012, Votto has recorded a .305/.452/.523 slash line against right-handed pitchers at Great American Ballpark, which is essentially textbook 'Vottomatic'. His inclusion to any lineup gives DFSers a strong floor to build around.

Bell is the way to go if you want to beef up other positions but maintain a relatively safe floor for cash-game contests at an affordable price. He'll have a much easier time reaching his power potential away from PNC Park's deep outfields.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Miguel Cabrera (DET) at CLE 7
Eric Hosmer (KC) vs. CWS 6
Justin Morneau (CWS) at KC 6

Hosmer is 18-for-45 (.400) with three home runs against Chris Sale in his career. In Sale's last start -- also against Kansas City -- he gave up two hits, including a HR, to Hosmer. It defies expectations but the Royals' hitter has the ace's number. He's a good GPP play.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Mark Reynolds (COL) vs. SD 4
Mitch Moreland (TEX) vs. OAK 4
Matt Adams (STL) at SF 3

Reynolds has a .400 OBP over his last 10 games, and playing at Coors Field lends itself to improved power numbers, but it's impossible to ignore his awful .350 slugging percentage against lefties this season. Of his 30 hits against LHPs this season, 76.6 percent have been singles. That's not what you want to see from an expensive player at a premier offensive position.
