Report: Dodgers place Puig on trade waivers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on revocable trade waivers, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

If Puig passes through waivers unclaimed he'll be eligible to be traded to any team.

The talented Cuban was demoted to Triple-A after the Aug. 1 trade deadline, and has performed well in Oklahoma City since, posting a 1.601 OPS in 69 plate appearances.

Despite the improved play at a lower level, his future with the Dodgers, who appear to have grown weary of his apparent off-field issues, remains unclear.

On Saturday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters the team hasn't decided on whether they'll bring him back once rosters expand in September.
