Watch: Rangers walk off after Odor drilled by pitch

Who knew being the hero would hurt so much?

Rougned Odor helped the Texas Rangers win for the ninth time in 13 tries Tuesday after he was plunked in the back of the shoulder by Athletics lefty Marc Rzepczynski with the bases loaded and one out in the 10th inning in Arlington.

The wild ending capped a three-run rally for the Rangers, who allowed the A's to score twice in the top half of the 10th for a 4-2 lead. After Oakland reliever John Axford loaded the bases in the bottom frame, Rzepczynski intentionally walked Adrian Beltre - who smacked a grand slam during Monday's series opener - to pave the way for Odor, who went hitless in three at-bats.

"The pitch he threw me was really, really in," Odor told reporters after the 5-4 win. "And I was like, 'I'm not going to move. I'll take that pitch, and we'll win the game.'"
