Leave it to Yasiel Puig to deliver a most unlikely walk-off hit in a game filled with several unlikely moments.

With a runner on first and the Dodgers trailing by a run in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game, Puig's unassuming poke up the middle skirted by Nationals center fielder Michael Taylor and paved the way for a thrilling walk-off little league homer.

Puig capped his game-winning hit - officially scored a single with a three-base error - with a trademark headfirst slide into home before the Dodgers star was mobbed by teammates celebrating the club's sweep of the first-place Nationals.

The wild play happened just a few innings after Adrian Gonzalez's circus-like catch sent a buzz throughout the stadium.

On the visitor's side, it was a particularly unfortunate ending for Taylor, whose costly error came in addition to his becoming the first player in the majors this season to strike out five times in a game.
