Joel Embiid says he consumes 3-4 pitchers of Shirley Temples every day

Joel Embiid loves his Shirley Temples.

The Philadelphia 76ers center was a guest on Vice Sports' Ride Along video series, during which he joked that he consumes the sugary drink by the gallon.

"I usually drink three or four pitchers per day," Embiid said. "Nobody really cares about the media. They're gonna have something to say - 300 pounds or Shirley Temples. I'm just gonna let my game do the talking. I think some people are gonna be surprised, and I can't wait to show off."

Embiid's comments relate back to a rumor that was floating around six months ago about his obsession with Shirley Temples and the 76ers' growing increasingly concerned with his conditioning. He poked fun at the rumor by posting an Instagram photo of himself looking bulky with the hashtags #TrustTheProcess and #shirleytemple.
