Atletico Madrid fans are hoping an Instagram message showing Diego Simeone hard at work with club colleagues means he's remaining in his role as manager.

Simeone is pictured alongside Atletico's technical director Andrea Berta and managing director Miguel Angel Gil Martin with a message which translates as "Working in Buenos Aires."

The Argentinian, who has been a reported target of Paris Saint-Germain, enhanced his reputation further last season after guiding Los Rojiblancos to another Champions League final and upsetting La Liga's elite again in a closely-fought title battle with Real Madrid and eventual winner Barcelona.

French forward Antoine Griezmann has thrived under Simeone's wing in the Spanish capital, and said last week that he was "100 percent sure" that his boss wouldn't leave the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

"I'd be raging if he left. I still have a lot to learn from him," Griezmann explained.

Simeone was also reportedly disappointed with the lack of transfer funds made available by the Atletico hierarchy, but by overseeing some paperwork with colleagues he has gone some way to reducing fears in Arganzuela that he's seeking pastures new.
