Here are theScore's shooting guard value rankings for Saturday, April 16:

Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Klay Thompson (GS) vs. HOU 9
DeMar DeRozan (TOR) vs. IND 8
James Harden (HOU) at GS 8

Thompson and DeRozan come cheaper than Harden, but all three are worth considering on day one of the playoffs. Thompson comes cheapest, and makes the perfect handcuff for more expensive options elsewhere. Harden doesn't get penalized for his defense, so he's likely worth his lofty salary.

Mid-Tier Targets

Name Opponent Value
Monta Ellis (IND) at TOR 6
Avery Bradley (BOS) at ATL 5
Raymond Felton (DAL) at OKC 5

After the top tier, the value drops off a cliff. It's best to splurge on two of the top options, but that could limit choice at other positions. Ellis has the most upside, while Felton has the best positional matchup, and Bradley is more-or-less steady at what he does. None are ideal, but Felton will burn the least salary.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Kyle Korver (ATL) vs. BOS 4
Dion Waiters (OKC) vs. DAL 3
Norman Powell (TOR) vs. IND 3

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Korver never found a consistent stroke all year. He is a deep sleeper for Saturday simply because of his beyond-the-arc shooting. He has to flip that switch to be worthy of consideration. Avoid Powell, at least for Saturday. His playing time is likely to be scaled back with SF DeMarre Carroll in the rotation.
