Tony Parker left game vs. Pacers with toe contusion

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Tony Parker left Monday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers due to a left toe contusion and did not return.

The San Antonio Spurs - winners of their previous eight contests - fell to the Pacers 99-91 in a game in which newly-acquired point guard Ty Lawson was also knocked out of commission due to injury.

Parker was having a rather forgettable performance prior to hurting his toe. The 33-year-old Frenchman had six points, five assists, and one rebound in 25 minutes.

Averaging the lowest scoring total (12.4) since his rookie season, the 15-year veteran has not been the potent offensive player Spurs fans have grown accustomed to - likely a function of the emergence of rising star Kawhi Leonard and arrival of LaMarcus Aldridge.

Nevertheless, his 56.3 true shooting percentage, 5.1 assists, and 17.3 PER remain valuable contributions to the Spurs who, after losing to the Pacers, sport a 53-10 record.
