Cousins jokes about Rondo's triple-doubles: 'He's stealing my boards, man'

Don't look now, but the reality TV show that is the Sacramento Kings is on a two-game win streak, and it's largely thanks to Rajon Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins.

Rondo is averaging 14.8 points, 14 assists, 9.8 rebounds, and three steals per game over his last four games while putting up three triple-doubles. As for Cousins, he's only put up 73 points over his last two games.

Rondo also played an integral role in the Kings' resilient come-from-behind victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. He had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists while shooting 10-of-19 from the field.

Cousins showed his new teammate some love after the game.

"I kind of get caught up watching him play," Cousins told The Associated Press. "It’s just amazing being able to watch his effort on a nightly basis."

The only downside to Rondo's play, however, is that he's infringing on Cousins' responsibilities.

"As far as his rebounding it kind of gets on my nerves. He’s stealing my boards, man," Cousins said.

It was clearly a tongue-in-cheek comment, and for what it's worth, there are still plenty of rebounds to go around. Cousins is grabbing 11.2 boards per game - the sixth-highest average in the league.

All jokes aside, Rondo's play has been a rare bright spot on yet another gloomy season for the Kings. And as long as they continue to win, Rondo can steal as many rebounds as he wants.
