Nike unveils All-Star colorways for Kobe, LeBron, Durant and Irving sneakers

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Nike is employing an empire state of mind this All-Star Weekend.

With the NBA's annual festivities taking place at Madison Square Garden, Nike revealed Wednesday that it has leaned on New York City's unique architecture for inspiration in designing All-Star colorways for four signature shoes.

Though he won't play in the game due to injury, Kobe Bryant's new Kobe X will be based on the 1964 World's Fair, reflected in the shoe's proclaimed groundbreaking and experimental design.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant's KD7 gets a facelift based on the Brooklyn Bridge, Kyrie Irving's first All-Star special draws on the City Hall subway station and LeBron James' LeBron 12 has the Flatiron Building as its muse.

The four shoes are pictured below in the order mentioned and come complete with coordinated apparel products, as always. Bryant and Durant's shoes are set to release Feb. 13, while Irving and James will see theirs drop Feb. 14.
