The plethora of cash being showered upon NBA free agents in the afterglow of a booming salary cap must have former pros wishing they played in a different time.
One such retired player, Shane Battier, jokingly tweeted the following on the first night of free agency:
Um.....it might be time for a comeback.........#freeagency

Battier, a two-time All-Defensive Team selection and two-time NBA champion, earned roughly $56.6 million over his 13-year career, and never made more than $7,354,500 in a season, according to Basketball Reference. By comparison, the first deal reportedly agreed to on Friday - for Timofey Mozgov - was worth $64 million over four years.
