LeBron: 'I've got to be better'

LeBron James wasn't making any excuses following one of the worst Finals losses of his career.

"I've got to be better," James told reporters after the Cavaliers' blowout defeat in Game 2. "I've got to be better with the ball. You know, trying to play make for myself and play make for my teammates at the same time, I've just got to be more solid."

While James flirted with a triple-double, his lack of assertiveness on the offensive end contributed to the Cavaliers' second-half deficit. The 31-year-old finished the contest just 7-of-17 from the field, while collecting a game-high seven turnovers.

Although James has been far from his best, he certainly isn't the only player on Cleveland who has struggled through the first two games of the series. The Cavaliers as a group have looked overmatched against the 73-win Golden State Warriors, losing both contests by a combined 48 points.

"When you're behind these guys, they make you pay," James said. "Every single time."

To make matters worse, Cleveland could potentially be without starting power forward Kevin Love going forward, as he was forced to leave Sunday night's contest after being placed under the NBA's concussion protocol.

While it's certainly far from an ideal situation, James is confident in his team's chances even without Love.

"We won two games without him last year," James added. "Next question."
