Kevin Love has been placed under the NBA's concussion protocol after checking himself out of Sunday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Harrison Barnes accidentally clipped Love's head with an elbow while battling for an offensive rebound Sunday night. Love stayed down momentarily, but would stay in the game for the remainder of the second quarter and even managed to hit a 3-pointer.

The Cavaliers ran tests for Love during halftime, but he did not exhibit any concussion symptoms, so he returned to the starting lineup in the third quarter. However, Love took himself off the floor after three minutes upon experiencing dizziness.

He was further examined and placed under the league's concussion protocol. Love's availability for Game 3 will depend on his condition, with head coach Tyronn Lue calling the power forward "day to day."

Love, who left the arena without speaking to the media on Sunday, logged 20 minutes of action in Game 2, scoring five points on seven field-goal attempts while grabbing three rebounds.

Game 3 will take place in Cleveland on Wednesday.
