Report: Braves, D-Backs discussed deal involving Miller, Pollock

A number of players on the Atlanta Braves' roster have had their names surface in trade rumors, and Shelby Miller can now add his to the list.

The Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks discussed the idea of a trade for the right-hander, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Rosenthal goes on to say the Diamondbacks wanted a major-league core piece, naming outfielder A.J. Pollock as a potential trade chip, which Arizona was not comfortable with.

Miller, 25, was one of baseball's hard-luck losers in 2015, earning a 6-17 record despite an ERA of 3.02, including a stretch of 24 consecutive starts without a win.

The 27-year-old Pollock became an All-Star and Gold Glover for the first time in 2015 while also posting career-best offensive numbers, hitting .315/.367/.498 with 20 home runs, 76 RBIs, and 39 stolen bases.
