The Oakland Athletics remain busy as they continue to shuffle their pitching staff, only this time they're shipping a starter out of town.

The trade comes moments after the Athletics acquired Jon Lester and Johnny Gomes from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for outfielder Yoenis Céspedes.

Fuld, 32, started the season with the Athletics after signing as a free agent in the winter, appearing in seven games, before he was placed on waiver and picked up by the Twins on April 20.

Fuld should be slotted into the lineup immediately to fill the vacant outfield spot Céspedes is leaving behind. He produced a .263/.356/.366 through 194 at-bats with both teams and will provide the A's with a little more speed on the base paths after swiping 13 stolen bases.

Milone, who was unhappy about his demotion to the minors after making his last start with the A's on July 4, has subsequently been sent to the Twins' triple-A affiliate in Rochester.

The 27-year-old starter has put together a 6-3 record with 61 strikeouts in 96.1 innings with a 3.55 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP.
