The Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers continue to have discussions about reliever Joakim Soria, according to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi.
Soria is making $5.5 million this season, and posting some terrific numbers for the troubled Rangers. In 32 games, he's recorded a 2.67 ERA with an 0.791 WHIP. The 30-year-old is striking out 10 batters for each walk he's issued through 30 1/3 innings.
Detroit was linked to both Soria and Jason Frasor earlier this month, but the Rangers dealt Frasor to the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday.
