After securing the World Series title in 2015, the Kansas City Royals regressed to the .500 mark in 2016 amid an injury-plagued season and the departures of Ben Zobrist and Johnny Cueto.

While the Royals expect to be in contention for the American League Central once again - if they can stay healthy - they may still be interested in dabbling in the trade market, looking to improve for the future, not the present. If so, it appears there's one player in particular teams would love to take off their hands.

Kansas City has received multiple inquiries on outfielder Jarrod Dyson, reports ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

Dyson "fits a lot of teams," one executive told Crasnick, because he's fast, affordable, and has the ability to play both right and center field.

One issue the Royals may encounter if they were to trade the 32-year-old is that he's slotted in to share right field with Paulo Orlando next season, so they'd need to find a replacement.

Dyson appeared in 107 games last season, recording career highs in at-bats (299), hits (83), total bases (116), RBIs (25), and OPS (.728).

Over the course of his career, the speedster has also stolen 176 bases, including 30 in 2016.
