Castro, Ellsbury to undergo MRIs after leaving game early

The New York Yankees lost two starters early in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Second baseman Starlin Castro departed in the fifth inning with a strained hamstring after lacing a two-out double. Castro said he felt a pop while running to second base, and manager Joe Girardi announced he'll travel to New York for an MRI.
Jacoby Ellsbury, meanwhile, injured his knee in the seventh inning after crashing into the center field wall on a leadoff double by Xander Bogaerts. Ellsbury was visited by trainers and played out the remainder of the inning, but was removed in the eighth and replaced by Brett Gardner. He'll also undergo an MRI in New York, Girardi said.
The scuffling Yankees - losers of four straight - now find themselves seven games back of the Red Sox in the American League East, and 4 1/2 games back of the Toronto Blue Jays for the American League wild card.
