Torino rescinds Amauri's contract
Torino
Torino announced Friday it has terminated the contract of Brazilian-born striker Amauri by mutual consent.
The veteran of 10 Italian clubs, Amauri has been granted permission to pursue other avenues, Torino revealed on its website.
Amauri, 35, joined the club in 2014 from Parma on the last day of the summer transfer window, scoring just one goal for il toro in 19 appearances before being relegated to the reserves this season by manager Giampiero Ventura.
The once-capped Azzurri international, who gained Italian citizenship by virtue of his tenure in Italy, made his one senior team appearance alongside Mario Balotelli in a 1-0 friendly defeat to the Ivory Coast in 2010 at Upton Park.
