Gattuso: Cutrone should find girlfriend 'so he can rest and make love'
AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso hopes young striker Patrick Cutrone can continue his blistering pace, telling the 20-year-old to find himself a girlfriend in order to stay well rested.
Cutrone has enjoyed a superb sophomore season at AC Milan, notching 11 goals in 25 appearances in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Europa League, including three across his last two appearances - a 4-0 win over SPAL and a 3-0 victory over Ludogorets.
But while Cutrone boasts at least five more goals than fellow attackers Suso and Andre Silva, Gattuso wants to ensure his young star doesn't fold under pressure and offered some advice on how to stay relaxed.
"We are taking it easy on Cutrone," Gattuso said, as quoted by Milan's Twitter account. "He must not get distracted by the fact that he is the youngest player in AC Milan's history to score that many goals. He has to work and to rest.
"I hope he finds a beautiful girlfriend so he can rest and make love."
Though Gattuso's comments were lighthearted in nature, he also made sure to keep expectations for his young star in check.
"I think that Cutrone needs to grow and improve," the manager offered, as quoted by the club's official website. "He's 20 and still has to work hard and then rest. We mustn't load him with expectations and keep making comparisons with top players from the past and talk about the national team."
