A pair of Edmonton Oilers achieved career milestones in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche, and they did so on the very same goal.

Defenseman Martin Marincin scored his first NHL marker early in the first period, and center Andrew Miller picked up his first point in the league by registering an assist.

Rather than fighting over who would take home the puck, the teammates came to an unexpected compromise.

"We both have half a puck," Miller told reporters after the game.

He wasn't kidding.

Marincin's milestone came in his 77th NHL game, while Miller's first point came in his fourth contest. Miller added another helper on Taylor Hall's goal about five minutes later.
