Report: Flames re-sign Zary to 3-year contract
The Calgary Flames re-signed restricted free-agent forward Connor Zary to a three-year deal carrying an average annual value of $3.775 million, reports Sportsnet's Eric Francis.
Zary will be an RFA at the conclusion of his new contract and can become an unrestricted free agent in 2029.
The 23-year-old recorded 13 goals and 14 assists in 54 games with the Flames last season. He notched 34 points in 63 appearances as a rookie the year prior, finishing eighth in Calder Trophy voting.
Over his two NHL campaigns, Zary has proven to be a strong defensive player.

Zary projects to play on the wing to start the 2024-25 campaign, though he's a natural center who has seen limited time down the middle at the NHL level.
The Flames drafted Zary 24th overall in 2020.
