Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had an MVP season, but he will hear about his choice not to fall on a fumble late in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50 for the rest of his life.

Newton put the ball on the turf deep in his own end, then inexplicably avoided falling on the ball when it appeared he could have easily covered it up:

The Denver Broncos recovered the fumble and scored a touchdown moments later.
