Von Miller named Super Bowl MVP
Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was named Super Bowl MVP with a virtuoso performance in the team's 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Miller recorded six tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a critical forced fumble that directly led to a touchdown that gave the Broncos a 10-0 first-quarter lead.
The Broncos' superstar linebacker was the central component of a dominant defensive performance, as the team recorded 13 quarterback hits on NFL MVP Cam Newton. Denver also deflected 10 passes, making it virtually impossible for Carolina's top-ranked offense to establish much of a rhythm.
Miller is now an unrestricted free agent and it's likely the Broncos will aim to make him one of the highest-paid defensive players in league history.
A first-team All-Pro, Miller was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft and is one of the cornerstones of the Broncos' powerhouse.
