The Miami Dolphins are signing newly acquired pass-rusher Bradley Chubb to a massive multi-year contract extension, sources told Jordan Schultz, theScore's NFL insider.

Chubb's new five-year pact is worth $110 million but can rise to $111.25 million with incentives, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It also includes $63.2 million guaranteed, Schefter adds.

The Dolphins later confirmed they extended Chubb through the 2027 season.

The NC State product pens the contract before logging a single snap for the Dolphins after joining the team via trade from the Denver Broncos at the deadline Tuesday. He arrived in Miami on the final year of his rookie deal, but Dolphins general manager Chris Grier told reporters Wednesday he was optimistic the sides would reach a long-term pact.

Selected fifth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, Chubb spent the first four-plus seasons of his career with the Broncos. His best performance came during his rookie campaign when he logged a career-high 12 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

The 26-year-old has battled injuries since then, missing 23 games from 2019-2021.

Chubb enters Week 9 of the 2022 campaign with 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
