The Buffalo Bills interviewed Philadelphia Eagles director of college scouting Trey Brown on Saturday for their general manager opening, the team confirmed.

Brown is the third front-office executive linked to the Bills following the dismissal of Doug Whaley.

Also in the mix thus far are Carolina Panthers assistant general manager Brandon Beane and Houston Texans director of player personnel Brian Gaine.

Brown, a former NFL defensive back, first transitioned to scouting with the New England Patriots in 2010.

He quickly rose through the Eagles' organization after being hired as an area scout in 2013, being promoted to assistant director of college scouting in 2015, and then director of college scouting in 2016.
