Former Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle announced his retirement from the NFL after 11 seasons during an appearance Monday on "Good Morning Football."

"No, I'm not going to play. I'm done," Rolle said when asked if he was still looking to make a roster.

"I'm at total peace. Like I said, go out and you're 33 years old and you go on injured reserve last year. That's going to scare a lot of teams away. I understand how the business works, and I'm fine with that," Rolle added.

The Cardinals selected Rolle eighth overall in the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent five years in Arizona, and was part of the 2008 team that lost Super Bowl XLIII.

Rolle joined the New York Giants in 2010, and firmly established himself as one of the best safeties in league over his five years with the club.

After losing a Super Bowl with the Cardinals, Rolle got a ring during the 2011 season, with the Giants beating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

He peaked statistically in 2013, racking up 98 tackles, two sacks, and leading his position in interceptions with six.

The three-time Pro Bowler spent the 2015 season with the Chicago Bears, but his season was cut short by a knee injury.

The 33-year-old finishes his career with 834 tackles, four sacks, 69 passes defensed, and 26 interceptions.
