DFS: Dynamic Duos - Wednesday's Top DFS Teammate Plays

A small four-game schedule will kick off the 2015-16 NHL season, and with it comes the daily fantasy hockey season.

Similarly to several other daily fantasy sports, stacking players from a single team is a great way to increase production from a lineup, while also increasing the chances of taking down a large GPP prize.

Here are the dynamic duos to target for Wednesday, October 7:

Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs

Max Pacioretty - Tomas Plekanec

The entirety of the Canadiens' first line is in play as they pay a visit to their biggest rival. Pacioretty and Plekanec are the obvious selections, although pairing either with winger Brendan Gallagher, or using the entire line is another option that deserves consideration.

The trio combined for 11 points against the Leafs last year, and they'll look to get started the right way in a season where the two teams are projected to go in very different directions.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. New York Rangers

Jonathan Toews - Marian Hossa

History hasn't been kind to defending Stanley Cup Champions as they begin a new season, but the experienced Blackhawks have been here before.

Toews and Hossa are well known for their respective "lead by example" attitudes, and they'll be Chicago's best chance of beating G Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers.

Rick Nash - Derick Brassard

Nash saw a career resurgence last season, scoring a career high 42 goals in his 12th NHL season. Brassard was his most common center, and he added career highs with 19 goals and 41 assists.

With the Blackhawks being the more public team, siding with the Rangers could be the way to go for tournaments.

Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan

The favorite duo of seemingly every hockey fan last season, Gaudreau and Monahan will look to replicate last season's hot start.

The pair combined for four points in two home games against the Canucks last season, and the Flames enter Wednesday with the highest projected goal total of the night.

Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin

Henrik enters the season criminally underpriced on a variety of DFS sites. His 18 goals last season tied the third-highest season total of his career, and his price allows owners to easily pair him with brother Daniel.

Early line combinations have Brandon Sutter replacing Radim Vrbata on the top line, but they'll go back to the familiar trio if the need arises.

Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks

Anze Kopitar - Marian Gaborik

The Kings will be out for revenge after their Californian rival ruined last season's Stanley Cup banner raising ceremony by a score of 4-0.

The duo went on to rack up a combined 111 points, in what was a down year for Gaborik and an unimpressive offensive campaign from Kopitar. The two still managed to combine for eight points in five games against the Sharks, and they'll get first crack at former Kings' backup goalie Martin Jones, as he makes his first start for the Sharks.
