Senators' Derick Brassard: Will not complete Game 5
Brassard won't return to Sunday's road playoff contest against the Penguins due to an undisclosed injury, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis:
Brassard may have sustained his injury during the second period of Sunday's contest when he took a big open-ice check from Chris Kunitz, per Pete Blackburn of FOX Sports. It's quite possible that the veteran forward's injury is something to be concerned about, but considering the Senators were also up against a 6-0 deficit before Brassard was pulled from the game, it's entirely possible that the team just didn't want to risk a worse injury.
