- Claudia Gadelha booked a shot at champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk with a dominant decision victory over former World Series of Fighting champion Jessica Aguilar at UFC 190. "Joanna Champion" narrowly bested Gadelha via contentious split decision at UFC on FOX 13 back in December.
- Despite the loss to Gadelha, Aguilar remains one of the finest 115-pounders on the planet, having only lost once since 2010.
- Joanne Calderwood bounced back from a quick submission loss to Maryna Moroz with a one-sided drubbing of Cortney Casey in front of a hometown crowd in Glasgow, Scotland at UFC Fight Night 72 in July.
- Calderwood was originally scheduled to face Bec Rawlings, but Rawlings was forced out of the bout with an injury.
