- Ronda Rousey's reign of terror continued at UFC 190, where she needed a mere 34 seconds to completely demolish Bethe Correia. Correia, that poor soul, still lasted longer than the combined efforts of Cat Zingano and Alexis Davis.
- Speaking of Rousey, her next challenge will come in the form of Miesha Tate, a trilogy bout necessitated by a complete lack of legitimate challengers for the champion's crown. Riding a four-fight winning streak, Tate earned her spot at the front of the queue with a dominant decision victory over Jessica Eye at UFC on FOX 16.
- Former boxing world champion Holly Holm improved to 2-0 inside the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 71, using her vaunted striking to completely style on Marion Reneau, who looked out of her element on the feet.
- Former Olympian Sara McMann will look to scale the bantamweight ladder again when she takes on Amanda Nunes at UFC Fight Night 73 in August. McMann is 1-2 in her brief UFC tenure, although those losses were against Tate and Rousey.
