A breakout Summer League performance may not propel Seth Curry all the way out of his brother's shadow, but it may finally land him a permanent place on an NBA roster.
Curry, who's been playing for the New Orleans Pelicans' Summer League squad in Las Vegas, is nearing an agreement on a guaranteed contract with the club, according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times.
Curry kicked things off in Las Vegas with a 30-point performance, and has continued to dazzle, leading the league in scoring.

Undrafted out of Duke in 2013, Curry has scored a couple of 10-day NBA contracts the past two seasons, appearing in a total of four games between the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns.
He's also a two-time D-League All-Star, and was named to the All-NBA D-League First Team last season after averaging 23.8 points and shooting 46.7 percent from 3-point range for the Erie BayHawks, the Orlando Magic's affiliate.
