VIDEO: Seth Curry drops Friday-high 30 points to open Summer League

Steph Curry isn't the only member of his family with the shot, boy.

Father Dell Curry is one of the league's all-time best shooters, and younger brother Seth Curry is no slouch from outside, himself.

As Las Vegas Summer League opened Friday, Seth wasted little time setting course for a tournament MVP award to match Steph's NBA MVP award on the family's mantle. He dropped a tournament-high 30 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line while kicking in four assists. It was impressive.

Seth, who attended Liberty and then transferred to Duke before going undrafted in 2013, has spent the last two seasons trying to fight his way onto an NBA roster. A two-time D-League All-Star and a member of the All-NBA D-League First Team this season, the 24-year-old has struggled to get a footing with a parent club.

He's appeared in four NBA games across three teams in two seasons, and is now trying to catch on with the New Orleans Pelicans through Summer League.

The Pelicans have Jrue Holiday, but otherwise don't have a natural point guard under guaranteed contract. Seth isn't a natural point, but he's a combo guard who can handle the ball, and head coach Alvin Gentry is familiar with the family, having served as a Golden State Warriors assistant this season.

"Just watching it up close, I think it fits my style of play," Seth said of Gentry's spread pick-and-roll offense.

Now he just needs to execute well enough to secure a training camp invite. So far, so good.
