Victor Wembanyama has an interesting spot in mind for his Rookie of the Year trophy.

Wembanyama revealed that he plans to keep the hardware hidden away in the back of a closet, he told Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.

"I want it to be overshadowed by what I do in the future," the San Antonio Spurs star said. "I don't want it to push me in the slightest to slow down."

Wembanyama was named the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, beating out Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren and Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller for the honor.

The 20-year-old received all 99 first-place votes to win the award, becoming the first unanimous Rookie of the Year since Karl-Anthony Towns in 2015-16.

Wembanyama appeared in 71 games for the Spurs this season, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and an NBA-leading 3.6 blocks per contest.
