Here's a look at the daily fantasy picture for Wednesday, September 7. The dose looks at the night slate beginning at 7:05 p.m. ET:

Top Stacking Options

  • Arizona Diamondbacks (at Dodgers): Dodgers RHP Brock Stewart has allowed just four hits and one earned run over his past eight innings in two games, but he still issued six walks against 10 strikeouts. He has allowed at least five runs in two of his three starts. Arizona has scored at least seven runs in three of five September games.

3-player stack: A.J. Pollock, Paul Goldschmidt, Jake Lamb
5-player stack: Pollock, Goldschmidt, Lamb, Chris Herrmann, Socrates Brito

  • Atlanta Braves (at Nationals): The Braves seem to be enjoying the spoiler role, having scored at least six runs in four of six games this month. Nationals RHP Stephen Strasburg returns from a three-week absence tonight. While the 19 runs he allowed in three starts before the DL were partially injury related, there could be some remaining affects.

3-player stack: Ender Inciarte, Freddie Freeman, Nick Markakis
5-player stack: Inciarte, Adonis Garcia, Freeman, Matt Kemp, Makakis

  • Pittsburgh Pirates (vs. Cardinals): Like Strasburg, Cardinals RHP Mike Leake returns from the DL after a 17-day break. The Pirates have greatly preferred left-handed pitching, posting a team wOBA of .311 against righties, but their 20.8 percent strikeout rate ranks in the bottom half of the league, and their 8.2 percent walk rate ranks in the top half.

3-player stack: John Jaso, Gregory Polanco, Josh Bell
5-player stack: Jaso, Polanco, Bell, Adam Frazier, Starling Marte

Bargain Plays

  • 3B Yulieski Gurriel, Astros (at Indians): Gurriel has recorded four RBIs and three runs scored in his past 10 games. His tough matchup has lowered his price nearly to the minimum. He has nine hits and two walks in 29 plate appearances against righties, and Indians RHP Carlos Carrasco has 27 of his 61 hits to righties to go for extra bases.
  • SS Alexei Ramirez, Padres (vs. Red Sox): Ramirez' slash line of .240/.275/.330 represents a career low in each of the three statistics. His play against lefties has been much less affected, as he is still slashing .299/.349/.402 in the strong side of the split. He'll face Red Sox LHP David Price.
  • OF Andrew Toles, Dodgers (vs. Diamondbacks): Toles has three hits, including a home run, in just five plate appearances against left-handed pitchers. Diamondbacks LHP Robbie Ray allowed eight hits and five earned runs in his last start, while walking two and striking out just two.

Contrarian Options

  • 1B Eric Hosmer, Royals (at Twins): With so many of the top first base options being in the strong side of their respective splits and in favorable ballparks, Hosmer may go overlooked Wednesday. Owners should side with the salary savings, even it comes with slightly less upside. Three of his 10 hits in his past 10 games have been homers.
  • 3B/OF Kris Bryant, Cubs (at Brewers): After an 0-for-5 performance in the opening game of the Cubs' three-game set in Milwaukee, Bryant had a day off Tuesday. He'll likely rejoin the lineup Wednesday, when he's likely to take advantage of RHP Matt Garza's 3.46 BB/9 with his teammates adding on to Garza's 4.57 ERA.
  • SS Troy Tulowitzki, Blue Jays (at Yankees): Tulowitzki has posted an OPS of just .659 over his past 10 games, hitting just one homer and no other extra-base hits. He'll have a chance to find his power stroke against Yankees RHP Bryan Mitchell, who will make his first start in the majors this season.
