ESPN reveals College Football Playoff announcers

With the matchups for the inaugural College Football Playoffs now set in stone, ESPN has announced which of their on-air announcers will be calling the hotly-anticipated games, according to Sports illustrated's Richard Deitsch.

Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be will be calling the Rose Bowl semifinal game between No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Florida State, while Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge will be calling the Sugar Bowl semifinal game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Ohio State.

Both the Rose and Sugar Bowl will take place on Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. ET respectively.
