TCU penalized after two players wear the same number
This might unseat Arkansas State for strangest (or dumbest) uniform-related penalty in college football this year.
TCU was penalized five yards by officials because two players were both wearing a No. 2 jersey, which is considered "illegal equipment."
This was a real thing that happened RT @DScottFritchen TCU called for illegal equipment on the field. Two guys were wearing the No. 2 jersey

Both Boykin and Verrett wear No. 2 and were on the field for the punt. Huge penalty against TCU, allows KSU to go for it on 4th down.

Early in September, Arkansas State wore grey jerseys when they were supposed to be wearing a lighter color - they were playing Auburn, who wore navy - and were hit with a total of 28 yards in penalties for not wearing "contrasting colors."
