Auburn flips 5-star WR Coleman from Texas A&M
Auburn landed a huge commitment on Friday, as five-star wide receiver Cameron Coleman picked the Tigers, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Coleman previously gave his verbal pledge to Texas A&M in July.
Coleman credited Auburn's coaching staff with making him feel comfortable. He pointed out that head coach Hugh Freeze, wide receivers coach Marcus Davis, and recruiting director Trovon Reed played a role in his decision.
"I'm close to coach Davis, coach Reed, and coach Freeze," Coleman said. "They all check up on me every day to see how I'm doing, and they plan on using me as a big body receiver, make big blocks, and I'll just do anything I need to."
The Alabama native is rated as the No. 1 wideout and No. 6 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, per the ESPN 300.
Coleman becomes the highest-ranked pledge in the Tigers' recruiting class. He joins defensive end Jamonta Waller and receiver Perry Thompson among the most notable commitments this cycle.
