4-star prospect Malaki Starks commits to Georgia
Blue-chip athlete Malaki Starks announced his commitment to Georgia on Thursday, according to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren.
He chose the Bulldogs over offers from Alabama and Clemson, among others.
Starks is the No. 31 prospect overall and fifth-ranked prospect in Georgia for the 2022 class, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder lined up at wide receiver, running back, and cornerback while attending Jefferson High School.
Starks becomes the eighth verbal pledge for head coach Kirby Smart. Georgia holds commitments from defensive end Tyre West, cornerback Marquis Groves-Killebrew, and quarterback Gunner Stockton. Starks is also the eighth pledge from the Peach State.
Georgia is recruiting at an impressive pace following an outstanding 2021 class headlined by quarterback Brock Vandagriff, offensive tackle Amarius Mims, and linebacker Smael Mondon.
The Bulldogs continue with spring practices ahead of their annual G-Day spring game on April 17.
