"Playing for Texas has been my dream for as long as I can remember," Ewers said, according to Gerry Hamilton of ESPN.
He's the No. 1 overall prospect on ESPN Junior 300.
The Southlake, Texas native chose the Longhorns over offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and LSU, among others.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound pocket-passer completed 72.4% of his pass attempts for 4,003 yards and 45 touchdowns with three interceptions through 14 games at Carroll High School last season.
Wide receiver Phaizon Wilson was the first four-star recruit to join the Longhorns' 2022 class in late July.
