Bob Stoops: 'You won't see me on a college or pro sideline'

With LSU and Tennessee struggling to start the season, the seats of Ed Orgeron and Butch Jones are getting hotter by the second.

While many of the Tigers and Volunteers faithful would like to see a change, you can cross former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops off any school's wish list.

"You won't be seeing me on a college sideline or a pro sideline," Stoops said Monday at a function in Atlanta, as per Tim Griffin of SEC Country. "A lot of people act like they know, and there will be more than a few jobs out there. But that isn't at all what I'm looking to do."

Stoops suddenly retired in June after 18 seasons with the Sooners, including a national championship in 2000, leaving the program to Lincoln Riley.

At just 57 years of age, Stoops seemingly had plenty of years left on the sideline before calling it quits. But judging by Monday's comments, he sounds more than content with the decision.
