LSU fan starts GoFundMe page calling for Ed Orgeron's dismissal
LSU's shocking defeat to Troy on Saturday appears to have been the last straw for one fan.
The fan is calling for the dismissal of head football coach Ed Orgeron and has started a GoFundMe page entitled "Save LSU Football."
Orgeron has spent less than one full season as head coach at LSU, but Chad McGehee, of Schriever, La., wants him gone.
"The AD couldn't do it, so it is up to us ... save our program, help our state," the page says.
"We have to remove Coach O and thanks to our AD, he has a huge buyout ... time to take care of the cajun and protect LSU."
Orgeron and the Tigers have been under fire since getting blown out by Mississippi State, and the stunning loss to the Trojans only fanned the blaze.
The odds of the page succeeding in reaching its $12-million goal are extremely slim. But hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
