Breathe easy, Houston fans.
The Cougars received some encouraging news Sunday, as the knee injury sustained by star defensive tackle Ed Oliver is not considered serious after he underwent an MRI, according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, citing a source with knowledge of the situation.
Oliver was forced to leave Saturday's game against Temple in the first quarter, and was later seen on the sidelines with his left knee wrapped in ice.
The timetable for Oliver's return is currently unknown, but the likelihood that he escaped a significant injury is a win in itself for both Houston and the All-American sophomore.
