Oregon linebacker Kaulana Apelu received a surprise scholarship Sunday. The best part? His mom was the one to deliver the news.
The Ducks were in the midst of practice when Apelu's mother appeared on the video screen to congratulate him on being awarded a full scholarship. As soon as the video ended, Apelu was mobbed by teammates.
"If you have a dream, never give up. Always chase it," Apelu said. "If you have a goal, just set your eyes to that and just never give up."
