Former No. 1 running-back recruit B.J. Emmons is no longer with Alabama as, according to Chris Kirschner of SEC Country, the soon-to-be sophomore announced he has left the program via SnapChat.
Emmons will transfer to Hutchinson Community College, meaning he will be eligible to return to play in the FBS in 2018.
Emmons was a huge recruiting win for Nick Saban in Alabama's 2016 class, but saw very limited time as a freshman in a loaded backfield that also includes Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough.
Prior to suffering a Lisfranc injury seven games into last season, Emmons was able to rush for 173 yards on 35 carries, with his lone touchdown coming against Western Kentucky.
