Penn State claims 4-star linebacker Ellis Brooks

The eighth-ranked linebacker in the 2017 recruiting class is bound for Penn State, as four-star prospect Ellis Brooks announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions.
Brooks, a native of Richmond, Va., selected James Franklin's team after taking official visits to Maryland, Northwestern, LSU, and Oregon.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder is pegged at No. 215 overall on the ESPN 300. He was formerly committed to Duke, but reopened his recruitment in May 2016.
