Georgia dismisses 4-star freshman Chad Clay

More off-field trouble for cornerback Chad Clay has resulted in the four-star freshman's dismissal from Georgia.
The Bulldogs announced Clay's release Wednesday after he was arrested for misdemeanor theft. Clay reportedly stole a fellow student's Apple headphones, valued at $30. In April, he was arrested on a weapons charge.
"Unfortunately, Chad will no longer be a part of our football program," head coach Kirby Smart stated. "It is very disappointing, and we wish him the best in his efforts to continue his education."
Clay came to the Bulldogs as a four-star recruit out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Duluth, Ga.
