Jayden Quaintance, the No. 16 overall recruit on the 2024 ESPN 100, committed to Arizona State, he told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Quaintance chose the Sun Devils over Memphis and Louisville.

"It was all coach (Bobby) Hurley," Quaintance's father, Haminn, told 247Sports' Eric Bossi. "When I first talked to him, we really clicked. And then when Jayden got to talk to him, they really clicked."

Quaintance recently reopened his recruitment after committing to Kentucky last November. The five-star prospect's decision came on the heels of John Calipari's departure to Arkansas.

The 6-foot-9 big man is the second-ranked center in this year's class. Quaintance recently suited up for Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit and competed in the McDonald's All-American Game.

His addition caps off a solid recruiting class that also features four-star prospects Amier Ali and Sammie Yeanay.

Arizona State is coming off its third sub.-500 campaign in four seasons. The Sun Devils haven't advanced past the opening round of the NCAA Tournament during Hurley's nine-year tenure.
