USC guard Bronny James is expected to remain in the 2024 NBA Draft, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

James has been medically cleared for the NBA by the league's Fitness to Play Panel, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Jonathan Givony. He ranks No. 98 on ESPN's best remaining players list for June's draft.

The son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.4 minutes per game for the Trojans.

The 19-year-old was sidelined until December after suffering a cardiac arrest in July 2023. He later underwent a procedure to repair a congenital heart defect.

James was one of 78 prospects invited to the NBA draft combine. He's expected to begin five-on-five scrimmages on Tuesday. The event runs until May 19.
